Endodontics
is derived from the Greek words “endo” (inside), and “odont” (tooth).
Root canal treatment is needed when the soft tissue inside the
tooth become inflamed or infected due to deep decay, repeated dental
procedures on the tooth, or trauma which might have resulted in
a fracture, crack, or chip. This pulp tissue (blood vessels, nerves,
and connective tissue) is important during the development and
growth of the tooth, but can be removed once the tooth is mature.
Dr. Loth has special expertise to diagnose and treat your oral
or facial pain, and employs a range of endodontic procedures
to help you save your natural tooth. Beyond conventional root
canal treatment, an endodontist deals with many complication
that might arise in treating difficult cases. Dr. Loth invites
you to learn more about the different procedures available in
her practice.
